Designed to take the guesswork out of evaluating the cleanliness of items, the Semi-Quantitative Protein Test checks for residual protein on items after post-procedure cleaning prior to further processing. Protein is a significant component of bioburden. Improper cleaning can lead to the build-up of bioburden – representing not only a source of cross-contamination but shortening the useful life of the item itself.
